Four highly accurate, linked virtual models of the Belgrade Theatre new B2 auditorium were created, for each of its theatre configurations. The digital models are ported into a game engine enabling theatre production staff to 'walk around' in the model & view theatre stage sets in realtime, examining sightlines from the audiences perspective in all the different theatre configurations. The model was created from achitectural plans and the virtual first person point of view mimics the viewpoint of real theatre goers. Belgrade staff were trained with a variety of 3d modelling software and introduced to the game editor and presented with the model in a variety of easily accessible formats. The project was jointly funded by the Belgrade Theatre and Coventry University/ICE.
